Patterns that misbehave.

Hi, I’m Emily—artist, surface pattern designer, and the one-woman creative engine behind Hemlock House.

I started this studio because I wanted more from the walls around me. More character, more texture, more of that can't-quite-place-it feeling you get when something is both beautiful and a little strange. Hemlock House grew out of a love for vintage imagery, offbeat storytelling, and the belief that interiors should reflect the full personality of the people who live in them.

Here, you’ll find richly layered wallpaper and fabric patterns that borrow from the past while reimagining what “classic” can look like. Every print is designed to bring a sense of mood, history, and just the right amount of edge to your space.
