At Hemlock House, every wallpaper order is printed specifically for you once your order is placed. Because all wallpaper is made to order, we are unable to accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once production has begun.

We take great care to ensure your wallpaper arrives beautifully printed and ready for installation. However, if there is an issue caused during production or shipping, we are happy to help.

Returns or Replacements Are Accepted For:

Production defects or printing flaws, including:

  • Misprints
  • Significant color inconsistencies within the print
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Incorrectly printed items

Shipping damage, including:

  • Packages damaged in transit
  • Wallpaper arriving unusable due to shipping-related issues

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the issue
  • Photos of packaging (if damaged during transit)

We will review the issue and, if approved, arrange a replacement for the affected item(s).

Returns or Exchanges Cannot Be Accepted For:

Because wallpaper is custom printed to your specifications, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for issues unrelated to production quality, including:

  • Incorrect wall measurements or ordering too much/little wallpaper
  • Color variation between your screen and the printed product
    (Screen settings and device displays can vary significantly.)
  • Ordering the wrong material or wallpaper type
  • Change of mind after ordering
  • Wall adhesion or installation issues due to wall surface, paint type, texture, humidity, or preparation
  • Improper installation or installer error

Samples & Swatches Are Strongly Recommended

We highly recommend ordering a sample/swatch before purchasing full rolls.

Samples allow you to:

  • See colors accurately in your space and lighting
  • Confirm the scale of the design
  • Test wall adhesion and compatibility
  • Ensure you are happy with the material and finish before placing a larger order

Because every home, lighting situation, and wall surface is unique, ordering a sample is the best way to ensure confidence before purchasing full wallpaper panels.
